How waist fact can in fact be hazardous to our health

Most people are concerned about the extra fat around their waist they may be trying to hide under jumpers and jackets. These reserves of fat a good number people may have, are not so much aesthetic problems, as actual health hazards, this is also the case in apparently slim people.

It has been found that excess fat around the waist, which is situated deeper in the abdomen area, can help increase the probability of breast and colon cancer, heart disease, strokes, diabetes and even dementia.

It is therefore important to try and reduce these fat deposits with an appropriate diet or exercise regime as quickly as possible, in order to avoid being susceptible to the above mentioned diseases.

During a study carried out on overweight patients, it was found that by losing at least 2 inches from the waistline, there was a astounding progress in the level of cholesterol and insulin as well as blood pressure and inflammation markers.

Some diets even propose to trim down your waistline by consuming food products such as avocados, nuts, seeds, olives and dark chocolate, and are known to be particularly effective for the reduction of waist fat.

The diet that includes grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables as well as reasonable helpings of poultry and fish also effectively reduces belly fat.

Researchers have found that the internal fat around the abdomen is potentially more damaging than fat around other areas such as the thighs or hips. This is because some of the fat filters into the vital organs causing problems in blood circulation and notably the liver.

Abdomen fat generally causes quite a bit of damage to our metabolism and increases the levels of cholesterol and triglyceride, as well as increasing blood pressure and insulin resistance.

Fortunately the fat deposited round the middle part of the body is the easiest kind to get rid of, and will be the first fat you lose when on a diet. Diets that are based on products rich in MUFA will prevent fat from accumulating around the waist as opposed to diets rich in carbohydrates and high saturated fats. However these diets based on MUFA food types are not the only solution, for they often leave out other necessary elements such as polyunsaturated fatty acids found in fish, grains and flaxseed oil.

The best solution to avoid the accumulation of fat around the waist or any other part of the body is to plan a well balanced and healthy everyday diet, without leaving out any particular food, apart form refined carbohydrates and sugars. Select leaner meats, vegetables, fruits and fibres as well as fish, ain and Soya bean.

Most of the people who follow this type of nutrition plan have achieved successful results in shedding extra pounds and inches from their waistline, though not all have had similar achievements. This is no doubt due to different metabolisms and hormone levels, which may vary considerably from one individual to another.
