The Philippines is a unique and adventurous tropical destination, spread over a wide surface area, dotted with islands in a preserved and protected natural environment. The land is of rare cultural beauty and offers pristine wilderness for nature and adventure enthusiasts.

The Philippines offers its visitors a multitude of adventurous activities, such as white water rafting and kayaking, in a setting of limestone caves and shooting waterfalls. The magnificence of its intact reefs is a delight for snorkelling and scuba diving, the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park being one of the oldest existing reefs.

The Philippine Department of Tourism will have two stands at the Adventure Travel Expo with plenty of information on the numerous adventurous activities available on the island. Visitors can collect all necessary information and brochures as well as complimentary mangorind, a blend of candied mango and tamarind. Here there will also be opportunities to arrange adventure packages fit for all types.

For the really hardy ones, there is a possibility to participate in a survival jungle training at Jungle Environment Survival Training Camp at Subic Bay. Here natives will teach participants how to survive by drinking from water vine, cook in a bamboo steamer, make fires from sticks and bamboo chips amongst the many survival techniques. There is also an Extreme Adventure Park, where visitors can walk, glide and fly amongst the canopy of century-old trees, with cables and suspension bridges.
