NEW YORK (Reuters) - Phoenix Suns forward Amare Stoudemire has signed a five-year contract extension worth at least $72.6 million.
"It's been over a $100 million summer for me," said Stoudemire, referring to the value of his new contract and shoe-company deal.
Stoudemire, 22, averaged 26.0 points and 8.90 rebounds while playing center for the Suns last season.
"We have a major piece of our franchise sewn up and it's obviously a great scenario to have taken care of," Suns general manager Bryan Colangelo said.
