Glow in the dark creations

Adding glow in the dark accents to any room will create a whole new and fun look. Any child will love going to bed at night and looking up to see glowing stars starring back at them. It will not take a lot to make this happen in any room of the house. It will be a fun project for you and for your family to take part in. If you make decorating a family affair, you will also be creating memories for their future that they will jus love as they grow older and have children of their own.

You will need a few things to make your glow in the dark project work. You will need some interior latex glow in the dark paint. This paint may be used on wall, ceilings, and on furniture, that has a latex base. It goes on like any latex paint and it only takes about five minutes of bright light to make it work. It will activate and you will see an amazing result. You can tint it, but darker colors will not glow so bright. It will dry to a clear and milky substance. You can use two or more coats if necessary.

This paint will need to be stirred thoroughly. You must make sure that the area where you are going to use this paint is cleaned very well. You can dull the more shinny and glossy areas with sandpaper to make the paint stick better. When applying the paint, you should use short, overlapping strokes to make sure that the paint goes on evenly. You should wait a few hours in between coats.

You can do just the ceiling or you can do the whole room to add more fun. What would be more fun than walking into a glow in the dark room and having stars and planets glowing down at you?
You can add some three dimensional items to the walls or furniture when the paint has dried. You can attach some glow in the dark stars to the ceilings along with planets and maybe a rocket ship or airplane. This will enhance the theme even more and your child will be so happy with the end results.

You can play along with this theme and add some fun accessories in the room to match your idea. Give your child a space shuttle bed or find some blankets and sheets with the same design. Your child will never want to leave their intergalactic space again. Allowing your child to help in decorating or talking about where things will be placed will make the space and designs extra special to them, not only right now, but with memories as they grow up.

You can use this type of design in bedrooms, playrooms, and even sunrooms. This will be a great addition to any homes décor. It is easy to clean and you do not have to worry about the creation becoming permanent. You do not have to worry about it being on your wall forever. When you are ready for a change, all you have to do is paint over it. This paint will not hurt your walls or be hard to get rid of.
