The first thing that you need to figure out is where you are going to be putting the tile. If you are using the tile for a floor, backsplash, or counter, you may need to use different kinds of tile for each project. You will need to decide what size of tiles you want for your intended use.
Measure the area that you are going to be placing the tile. This will help you figure out how much tile you want to get to make your creation. It will however, depend on the kind of tile you use and how you clean it. Some tile will give you instructions on how to maintain it. If it does not come with instructions, you can look it up online to find out the best way to take care of your tile.
