LONDON (Reuters) - James Blunt, The Fratellis, Crowded House and 80s star Shakin' Stevens will be among the acts performing at this year's Glastonbury Festival, organisers announced on Tuesday.
The Editors and The Raconteurs will also join previously announced headliners The Kings of Leon, U.S. rapper Jay-Z and the Verve at the world's biggest greenfield music and arts festival.
"It is our most diverse line-up," organiser Emily Eavis told the BBC. "We've never ever been led by what we think is fashionable."
Dozens of artists, from jazz and folk acts to DJs, will be appearing live at the three-day event, held at Eavis's father's farm in Somerset, southwest England, from June 27-29.
Performers on the main Pyramid Stage include KT Tunstall, Kate Nash and Goldfrapp while We Are Scientists, Massive Attack, Groove Armada, Mark Ronson and the Hoosiers will be among those on the Other Stage.
Earlier this month organisers defended their choice of Jay-Z to headline the event amid claims it had upset traditional rock fans and led to poor ticket sales.
Last year, tickets sold out in just two hours, but there are still some available for this summer's festival, which is set to attract up to 180,000 music lovers.
"For a while we haven't had a year where there hasn't been a ticket scramble and I think what we end up with is proper Glastonbury-lovers," Eavis said, adding that bad weather was responsible for deterring fans.
The festival is notorious for its torrential rain which turns the entire site into a mudbath.
After 2005, founder Michael Eavis bought a big drainage system for his farm where the event started as a musical hippy haven in the 1970s.
