WASHINGTON (Reuters) - DeWalt Industrial Tool, a unit of Black & Decker Corp, recalled 13,000 table saws because of a laceration hazard to users, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Tuesday.
The recall involves 10-inch, yellow-and-black table saws sold from April 2007 through January 2008 for about $500, the agency said in a statement.
The pivot bracket on the Mexican-made saws can separate, which can misalign the blade and cause kick-back, the agency said.
DeWalt has received one report of a blade misaligning but no injuries have been reported.
More details about the recall were posted on the safety agency's website here
