How Women can Become a Political Strength

By Brown Articles Published 09/29/2011 | Politics & Women

Nowadays women in our society have achieved a powerful political and economic status. Why is this then? The first obvious reason is that there is an increase in the number of more mature women in the population; these women are also healthier than they were a few decades ago. This healthier state gives them more stamina and vigor, enabling them to keep up with their male counterparts.

During the past decades, women have slowly become an integrated part of societys work force in every domain, from the lower-most positions to the highest executive roles. There are also many women who have ownerships in both small and large companies as well as owning partnerships and assets within major firms.

However, it is interesting to note that, although women have reached out into many industries and spheres, there are very few major American corporations that have women as chief executive or financial officers.

Due to the increasing levels or complexity and technological changes within our society women have found their place and also a political voice, men now have to contend with. Nowadays more and more women can be found in the political spheres, as senators and members of the House of Representatives.

Despite the fact that women have major roles within the various political parties in the US, no woman has achieved the office of Vice President or President until now. The same can be said for the armed forces, where no woman has ever risen to the top levels of military strategic action. The only major role has been that of the National Security adviser and Secretary of the United States.

Womens power within the political spheres is still incomplete, despite the fact that women in our society live longer than men. Women can now inherit from their husband without having to pay tax, which concedes a greater economical power to women and with economical force comes greater political leverage.

Political power goes hand in hand with economical strength, so now women find themselves in a position of stronger impact as far as political strength is concerned. Their voice now has more force and is no longer overpowered by the mens.

The fact that now, women too have a voice in the political world is a fundamental step forward in our society. It is essential for the self interest of women and for society as a whole, as now mature women compose a large segment of todays society and can have a great impact on how social matters are solved. Women also have the wisdom to take difficult decisions, in a controlled way, thus giving a more defined shape to the society of the future.

The women of today will provide the right way and legacy for their children and grandchildren to follow for a better and more peaceful future.
