The Easter holiday is a time when families get together to spend quality time and celebrate the religious holiday together.  This is a special time that will mean so much to everyone who will take part in the festivities.  You can make family memories that you will be able to share for a lifetime and then some.  It should be one day of the year when you take time to relax and enjoy your family and friends.

Easter is always on a Sunday in the spring.  Easter is also known as a religious holiday that many people and churches worship.  It is day that the whole family gets dressed up and heads to Easter service at church.  This day should be a day to make memories and spend time together as a family.

The Friday before Easter Sunday is known as Good Friday.  This is a special part of Easter as well.  It is usually a day of church and worship as well and also a day that you should fast with no meat.  Meals for this day usually include some sort of fish or vegetarian meal.  For most people, it is also a day off from work and school in order to spend time with you family and loved ones.

Getting ready for the Easter holiday can include for a lot of people, decorating.  This is something that a lot of people love to do at home and in the office.  When Easter time is approaching, you will see lot s of bunnies, flowers, and Easter baskets in windows.  You may even see plastic Easter eggs hanging from trees and shrubs outside.  This is a special holiday for a lot of people and they like to express their feelings with colorful decorations.

Another part of getting ready for the Easter holiday is to go grocery shopping.  You should make sure that you get all the items that you are going to need for your special holiday dinner ahead of time.  You do not want to wait for the last minute to head to the store.  If you do this, you may end up with everyones leftovers.  You want to make sure that you get there in time to get the best ham that you want and many other items that are so important to have for your Easter dinner.

Another thing to remember when you go shopping is the Easter candy.  This is also a big part of the Easter holiday.  Children especially love waking up in the morning to see what the Easter bunny has left behind for them in their Easter baskets.  It is a holiday tradition to have candy and lots of goodies for everyone to fill Easter baskets for the young and the old.

Children are a big part of the Easter holiday too.  They love thinking about the Easter bunny and what he is going to bring them for Easter.  After Christmas, this is the next best holiday for most children of any age.  They get a day off of school and they get goodies and presents as well.
