Blogging Software

Blogging is very easy to do, and technology is what has made it so incredibly easy.

In fact, the blogging software that exists today has made it possible for approximately sixty million people worldwide to express their thoughts and opinions, covering every imaginable topic under the sun.

The easiest way to start blogging is to use one of the free services, where your blog is set up with a few clicks of the mouse, with no technical knowledge needed at all.

Popular blog hosts include Blogger at http://www.blogger.com , Live Journal at https://www.livejournal.com/blogs/en/Blog , and Word Press at https://wordpress.com/ .

Setting up a blog at any of these sites is simple as typing a little bit of information into a form and hitting the submit button.

Other hosted blogs include TypePad at http://www.typepad.com , WikyBlog at http://www.wikyblog.com , and Blog.com at http://www.blog.com .

You can find many others by doing a search in any search engine for free blogs. Overall, however, the easiest free hosted blogs to use are Blogger and Word Press.

These also seem to be the most popular, which makes the chances of your blog being seen by other bloggers greater.

If you prefer to host your own blog, you will need a domain name for your blog, and a Webhosting account.

However, you can also use a free Webhosting service, with a free subdomain name. One such free Webhosting service is Free Servers at http://www.freeservers.com .

For the most part, however, if you want to host your own blog, you are better off purchasing your own domain name, which costs less than ten dollars per year, and getting your own hosting account, which costs less than ten dollars a month.

Try to get a Webhosting account that has a CPanel and Fantastico. If you aren’t sure, contact the Webhosting company and ask if these two things are available before making a purchase.

Whether you choose a hosted blog or host your own blog will depend on the purpose of your blog.

For instance, if you will be using your blog for business purposes, you definitely want to purchase a professional domain name, get professional Webhosting, and start your blog there.

But, on the other hand, if you just want a personal blog, you are probably better off with a free hosted blogging account.

Once you have acquired Webhosting and a domain name, you can log into your CPanel, where you will find Fantastico.

Click on the Fantastico icon and look for blogs on the menu. There, you will see that you can install a blog on your website, again, just by filling out the form and hitting the submit button.

Using Fantastico, you can choose to install b2evolution, Nucleus, pMachine Free, and WordPress. Word Press is highly recommended, and very easy to use.

Along with the actual blogging software, there are also many blogging tools that you can use to dress your blog up.

For instance, if you want to add music to your blog, you can get a flash player, with your music already loaded in it at http://www.profiletweaks.com .

There are also numerous tools and tweaks that are used to dress up MySpace sites, which can also be used on regular blog sites as well.
