Costa Rica lies between Panama and Nicaragua in Central America with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Atlantic on the other. For those who are in search of culture, San Jose offers plenty to see with its National Museum and Museum of Pre-Colombian Gold. The town of Cartago and the valley of Orosi are also magnificent architectural sites.
The climate can vary to tropical on the coast, with frequent rainfall on the Atlantic Ocean, while the mountain areas can get quite chilly during the night.
