How To Make Your Skin Beautiful

Our skin is a barrier between the body and the outside world. Daily it is exposed to environmental hazards like the wind, rain, extreme temperature, pollutants against which it acts as a protective shield.

Sometimes your best intentions and effort at maintaining your skin and its texture could actually be doing your skin more harm than good.

Which is why I have come up with a few common blunders women unknowingly make when it comes to skincare?

Not Eating Healthy And Drinking Enough Water

A clear glowing complexion comes from eating a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water. Water flushes out the toxins and helps maintain oil balance and skin moisture.

Green vegetables are rich in vitamin E, zinc, and silicon and they help hydrate the skin from the inside. Fruits and vegetables contain vitamin A and beta-carotene that adds a glow to your skin.

Smoking

The tar in cigarettes multiplies the production of free radical which causes ageing. Oxygen content of the skin decreases with age and so does its elasticity and therefore smoking makes the condition worse and does nothing at all to help.

With the intake of nicotine the epidermis gets thinner, the skin slackens and dehydrates.

Irregular Cleansing Routine

Clogged pores are caused by not maintaining a regular cleansing routine. Daily your skin is exposed to dirt, dust and pollution that cannot be removed by merely splashing water on the skin.

An ideal cleansing routine would be washing your face followed by toning and moisturizing.

Washing Your Face With Soap

Soaps are harsh and leave the skin dry. A wise choice would be to use a good face wash and body shampoos that are gentle on the skin and better formulated.

They cleanse the skin effectively but leave the natural oils intact.

Not Using Sunscreen

It is advisable to make sunscreen a part of your daily routine as it keeps your skin from drying and prevents sunburns.

The sunscreen must have UVA and UVB blocking properties, as both rays are equally harmful. Use sunscreen even if you are indoors.

Not Using Under-eye Cream

The most sensitive area of your body is the skin around your eyes. The eyelid is the thinnest and easily effected.

Use creams and under-eye gels with firming agents such as vitamin A, vitamin C as they keep the skin taut.

Invitation To Stress

Don’t let stress take a grip on your skin. There are umpteen ways to keep cool, calm, and collected to preserve your inner and outer beauty. Relaxation is an art.

One way that you can unwind your body is by lying down in a darkened room, close your eyes and breathe, inflating your stomach with air.

Feel your body unwind with each moment. Detach yourself with the outside world. You will feel light and calm.

Incorporating these tips in your daily life will never let your skin look oily in the summer or dull and flaky in the winters.

After all, every woman wants to be radiantly beautiful and the answer to that is flawless skin.
