It is also important you keep your body moisture level high by drinking plenty of water, at least eight glasses a day. Water is healthy for all the body including your nails.

When using a nail buffer while treating your nails do not use it with a back and forth motion for this will heat the nails and weaken them rendering the nail brittle and prone to splitting.

Last but not least, if you have a habit of biting your nails get rid of it as soon as you can. Not only is nail biting bad for your health, as it carries bacteria to your mouth, it will also render your nails and consequently you unattractive.
