Liposuction: The Secret Behind A Perfect Body

The pressure for having a flawless figure was never so high before. This desire for becoming beautiful and retaining youth for as long as possible is accountable for the recent surge in the popularity of cosmetic surgery.

There was a time when cosmetic surgery was viewed as a means for the rich or celebrities to banish the marks of age from their faces.

But today the cosmetic surgery has come a long way to offer a holistic solution to the beauty or aging related problems, of both men and women of all ages.

The teenagers and the men, who were not viewed as the usual candidates for cosmetic surgery even a few years ago, are increasingly joining the plastic- beauty bandwagon.

According to the modern standards, a beautiful face is not all that would help you to win all the battles. An impeccable body is even more important as an image enhancer.

A slim and trim look without the deposit of extra fat in any undesired area of your body is the call of the time and thus the liposuction has emerged as a very common cosmetic procedure to deal not only with the extreme cases of obesity.

But for those who wouldnt tolerate the unbecoming sight created by extra fats in the areas like chin, calf, upper arms, thighs or in the regions of breast, chest and back.

Originated for the first time in Italy, in the late 1970s, today Liposuction is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgical procedures in the United States.

The operation is also known as suction-assisted lipectomy and lipoplasty, It is today the most popular way to get rid of the excess fats from the body.

Liposuction involves the use of a hollow stainless steel tube called a cannula. to suck out the fat deposits underlying the layers of your skin.

The cannula is entered in the targeted area through a small incision and the fat is suctioned out through the cannula which is connected to a powerful vacuum.

After the excess fats are removed from your body this way, the skin comes to its normal shape as it heals.

Are you unhappy with the shape of your body? Even if you are not actually plump, there may be pockets of fat in certain areas of your body which may be the cause for your unhappiness.

Especially when you watch the flawless figures of the beautiful models in the television commercials, you wish you also had a figure like this!

Never mind, you can also get such a fabulous figure through liposuction, which is the process to eliminate those irritating deposits of fat from your body which could not be driven out  otherwise by the means of  diet or exercise.

If the prospect of being the proud owner of a perfect body really tempts you, then be informed about the latest techniques of liposuction described below.

The basic technique of liposuction known as tumescent technique involves suctioning out of the excess fats from your body.

Extremely small tubes are used in this technique to scrape out the fats and thus require very small skin incisions.

It is a minute procedure for extracting small amount of fats with each suction.

The other techniques of liposuction vary with the different methods of suctioning and the types of instruments used.

In one of the liposuction techniques a special solution is injected in the targeted area of fat removal. This solution makes the fatty tissue to swell and then it suctioned.

The solution is added with a local anesthetic so that the patient does not feel pains at the time of suctioning.

It also contains chemical to temporarily shrink capillaries to prevent blood loss. There are also drugs combined in the solution that works for reducing bruising and post-surgery swelling.

In super wet technique the amount of fluid that is injected is smaller in amount than the Tumescent technique.

In super wet, the amount of fluid is actually equal to the amount of fat to be removed. This operation can be done under IV sedation, or full anesthesia.

Sometimes, more than one type of technique is employed while performing a liposuction. As for instance a dry or tumescent technique may be used along with other techniques of liposuction.

We know how difficult it is to escape the temptation of acquiring the perfect figure. Yet our advice is that know beforehand, whether you are a good candidate for liposuction.

If you are considering a facial liposuction, you should know that the people in the 30s and early 40s with an elastic skin make for most suitable candidates. For older people the result may not be that good.

As a whole, individuals with resilient skins will achieve a better body contour following a liposuction, where the older people with sagging skin may need an additional skin tightening procedure to feel the efficacy of a liposuction.

Liposuction yields best result for the people with a normal weight but having pockets of fats in the areas like back, underarm, waist and so on which may be a hereditary trait that would not be removed by the simpler means of exercise or dietary restrictions.
